Guest Lecture on: Waves of Media Law: European Approaches to Regulating the Media Industry from Analogue Pasts to Digital Futures

On 25 November 2025, the School of Law and Justice, Adamas University, hosted a virtual guest lecture titled “Waves of Media Law: European Approaches to Regulating the Media Industry from Analogue Pasts to Digital Futures,” delivered by Dr. Paolo Cavaliere, Senior Lecturer at The University of Edinburgh Law School, UK. Part of SOLJ’s Distinguished Speaker Series, the session engaged undergraduate and postgraduate students and faculty. The first 45 minutes featured Dr. Cavaliere’s presentation, followed by a 15-minute Q&A discussing emerging technologies like deepfakes, recommender algorithms, and their impact on media regulation amid societal polarization.
