An educational visit to the Alipore Jail Museum was organized for final semester undergraduate and third semester postgraduate law students to provide practical insights into the evolution of India’s criminal justice system and correctional institutions. Accompanied by faculty members, students explored historic prison cells, the gallows area, and exhibits on penal history and the freedom movement. The visit enriched their understanding of criminology, penology, and human rights by connecting classroom learning with real-world observation.
