A thorough knowledge with specialization in few branches of law promoting original and path breaking legal research to create new legal knowledge and ideas which will help to meet multifarious challenges in a manner responsive to the needs of the country and to upgrade quality of administration of justice, management of legal counselling in a firm, teaching or practice of law is the objective of this programme.

Admission Procedure
The application process starts with enrolling for the Adamas University Admission Tests (AUAT). The test can be taken online as well as at designated exam centres. Admission decision is taken on the basis of candidates past academic performance and their Admission Test result.

The first step to taking the test is to start the registration process and generating the candidates Hall Ticket. Candidates will be notified once a decision has been taken on your application.

LL.M (One Year, Corporate and Commercial Law)
  1. Introduction to the course: There is a demand of one year LL.M. program in the market by those who are aspiring to join the corporate sector and academics. It is to be stated that all the NLUs and private universities are offering one year LL.M. program. So it is decided to introduce one year LL.M. program from this academic year. The purpose of this course is to equip the students with a broad spectrum of corporate world. How a company runs and what are the relevant laws are required to run a company that will be taught in this course. Students after their LL.B. program who are especially willing to join in the corporate sector can avail this course which will help them immensely.
  1. What are the learning outcomes: Bullet points about skills and abilities that the student would develop as a result of doing this course. 
  1. Due Diligence (before any transaction, what kind of information have to be collected and how that will be imparted among the students.)
  2. Legal Compliance: For smooth running of a company, what kind of legal compliances are required, will be learned by the students.
  3. How and when the company has to file tax that will be also known by the students.
  4. How to deal a suit on behalf of a company. Either against or favor, that will be also important learning outcome.
  5. Knowing the law is just not sufficient. In this course they will know how to apply those laws for the interest of the company.
  6. Corporate etiquette will be also taught in this course as well as under the skill development program that is offered time to time.

  1. Internships/Project work: Every student has to submit project in every subject followed by dissertation in the last semester. As it is one year LL.M. program, students will have scope for doing only one internship that will be either provided by the institute or by the students themselves.
  2. Information about previous internships and how the process helps students. This is for the first time going to be introduced. Naturally question of previous internship/s does not arise.
  3. Placement & Career Opportunities / Research Opportunities: Previous placement record if any. The role of CDC. It is expected that after LL.M. students will join in academics and few can proceed for further study. But as it is specialized in Corporate & Commercial Law, it will open a broad scope of getting placement in the corporate field as well as in the ‘corporate team’ of premier law firms. As ADAMAS is a multidisciplinary university and many companies are coming here to recruit technical and management students, be sure in every those companies have separate ‘Law Cell’. IF CDC just can approach and explore, that can bring many openings for the law students.
